Thunderstruck

Alas, no AC/DC tickets for this kid.

I just spent an hour on tickemaster.ca trying to score seats and am a little disappointed by the outcome. Not so much bc I didn't get any tickets, but more so bc I just gave an hour of my Saturday morning to an 80s hair band.

Apparently sales were brisk - I am left wondering if AC/DC is still that popular of a band that it's able to sell out a concert so quickly or if it's just a sad commentary on the lack of 'big name' entertainment that makes its way through the Queen City.

You decide.

Maybe it's just as well. I don't think that there's anything that can top seeing the Rolling Stones first show in the Reg on a crisp autum night under a harvet moon on Taylor Field.

Ahhh, Mick Jagger.....

Balanced

Today was budget day in Saskatchewan. My Finance Minister delivered a balanced budget - cool.

For the traditional pre-budget shoe purchase, he went with a pair of black, $139 New Balance running shoes - lame.

I spent a good part of my morning wishing I was the Finance Minister so the media would do a story about me buying shoes. I spent the rest of my morning deciding what kind of shoes I would buy for my first budget as the Finance Minister.

I'd go with some smart and serious Kenneth Cole's. Designer, yet not atrociously priced. We are in a recession, after all, fiscal responsibility, blah, blah, blah. Maybe a mixture of a grey tweed and a hint of patent. A high-heel mary-jane kinda look. Fabulous!

If ANYONE out there still looks at this lonely blog that I so infrequently touch, tell me what kind of shoes you would sport to deliver your budget.
